Chintan: A Space for Thought is committed to maintaining transparency, fairness, and integrity throughout the editorial and publication process. All authors, reviewers, and editors are expected to disclose any actual, potential, or perceived conflicts of interest that could influence the objectivity of their work.

Responsibilities by Role

Authors

Authors must disclose any financial, professional, institutional, or personal relationships that could influence the research, interpretation of results, or conclusions presented in the manuscript. Sources of funding and any relevant affiliations should be clearly stated at the time of submission.

If no conflicts of interest exist, authors should include the following statement in their manuscript:

Required declaration (if applicable) "The authors declare that they have no conflict of interest."
Reviewers

Reviewers must disclose any conflicts of interest that could affect their impartiality, including relationships with the authors, institutions, or funding organizations. Reviewers who believe they cannot provide an objective and unbiased evaluation should decline the review invitation.

Reviewers must treat all manuscripts as confidential and must not use unpublished information for personal or professional advantage.

Editor

The Editor must make editorial decisions based solely on the academic merit, originality, and relevance of the manuscript. Editors who have a conflict of interest with a submitted manuscript must recuse themselves from handling it and assign it to another qualified editor.

Non-disclosure may result in editorial action

Failure to disclose a significant conflict of interest may result in one or more of the following actions:

Rejection of manuscript Publication of a correction Retraction of published article
